Analysis Management Working Group

The intent of the AMWG is to cover the traditional Quality Assurance aspects of analysis, and to extend the work into the quality of the analysis (and by definition the end product), and the management of the analysis process. The Terms of Reference specifically indicate that the group will address Engineering Analysis and Simulation , therefore, our work is not to be limited to FEA. The group has already attracted strong support from the CFD fraternity.

The broad remit to cover the wider spectrum allows us to consider traditional hand calculation alongside the ever-expanding computer-aided techniques. With the simulation remit we are able to examine the advantages, disadvantages, concerns and dangers foreseen with push-button analysis, and many other new technologies.
